Born and raised in Chicago suburbs, I decided to uproot my family South and moved to Nashville, TN in Fall 2020. At first it was a bit of a culture shock, but after a few years I learned to make Nashville home.

Life in the South is definitely slower than up in Chicago, and because of that I decided to take a leap of faith and turned my obsession for travel and hunger for adventure, into an opportunity. Maecation was always just a handle, a name identified through social media. A nickname created because Mae is always on one of her vacations. Now, it means so much more.

I am also a Registered Nurse, Board Certified in Ambulatory Care at the VA. I have built a lot of relationships with coworkers, managers, and patients, through the simple dialogue of travel and food. Travel and food has been the foundation of friendships being created, and now I can humbly say, the manifestation of maecation.
